Late Autumn, Shall We Ride the Wave of Light at Hologram Expo HOLO WAVE?
Introduction
In late autumn, when days grow shorter and the air turns crystal clear, light reveals its contours more vividly. With HOLO WAVE about to unfold in Iksan, I picture in my mind the holographic light spreading like waves. I quietly await the moment when technology meets art to bring a warm glow.

Impressions (Planned Visit)
Today is November 16, 2025. “2025 Hologram Expo HOLO WAVE” is scheduled for November 20–22, so it hasn’t started yet. With the festival just ahead, I’ve organized the details with a sense of anticipation. At the Wonkwang University Culture and Sports Center in Iksan, a venue will unfold where the hologram industry and art blend under the theme “A Wave of Light that Illuminates the Future, HOLO WAVE.” Hosted by Jeonbuk and Iksan City, and joined by the Content Convergence Agency, Technopark, Wonkwang University, and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, it carries a clear industry–academia–research–government collaboration vibe. Thinking of that moment when light and sound will layer upon each other in the calm air of late autumn, my heart feels brighter.
The festival space will feature indoor exhibition and experience ZONEs and outdoor elements like a food zone, goods pop-up, and busking performances. In particular, hands-on content such as making hologram kits, media painting, and the VR Drawing Show should let your hands and eyes feel the smooth encounter of technology and art. The shadows cast between lighting warmth and images floating in air, the breath and wonder of the audience—these scenes are easy to imagine. Since the outdoor and indoor routes are separate, it’s best to glance over the map beforehand for a more relaxed visit.
