“Children Are Happiness – Happy Together Gyeongbuk in Pohang” is an event created for society as a whole to reflect on low birthrates and seek solutions together. Experts and citizens communicate on diverse topics such as work–life balance and parenting policies, offering information and hands-on activities that help lighten the burden of childcare—all in one place.
It has been held with Gyeongbuk since 2022, and this year it runs at Pohang Manindang Gymnasium from November 21 to 22. Family-friendly performances include the Bread Barbershop Sing-Along Show, Science Magic, a talk show with Lee Dong-gook, and a Magic Bubble Show. There will also be interactive programs such as the Safety Experience Zone, face painting, and local organization promotion booths.

Today is November 21, 2025—the opening day of “Children Are Happiness – Happy Together Gyeongbuk in Pohang.” I’m planning to go later today, and I’m full of excitement for the festival about to begin. I can already picture the winter sunshine over the front yard of Manindang Gymnasium in Pohang, the festival banners, and the sound of children’s laughter filling the air. Bread Barbershop’s Sing-Along and Science Magic set the tone for day one, while Color Pang-Pang face painting and local promotion booths will create a warm atmosphere that brings people together. The next day features “아이 해피 퐝퐝” and the Magic Bubble Show, so I expect a day rich in sights and sounds.
What I’m most looking forward to is the cozy feeling of the “Happiness Guardian Safety Experience Zone,” and the sincere connections that bloom as kids and parents play together. The voices of the community and the colors of everyday life will gently spread through the booths, whispering the meaning of “togetherness.” Free admission also opens hearts. If we leave some free time before and after performances to stroll through the experience booths, I think the moments will stay with us even more clearly.
A breeze tinged with the scent of Pohang’s sea will blow, and the stage lights inside Manindang Gymnasium will glow warmly. There’s also an awards ceremony for the photo and video contest on day one, so scenes capturing “happiness” will be shared everywhere.
